"Man is ancient; it is not created, is the creator. Every person is a god, who appears in every form. So let's worship the god that appears… The spirit goes out of one body and into another. There is no such thing as penalty in the grave; the resurrection of the dead, there is no resurrection of the dead, no day of judgment or reckoning." - Ismail Mashuki

He was born as the son of a well-known and respected Ottoman sheikh. After his father died, he began to preach to the public. The people saw him as an infidel because of what he said. Because he was a traveler of Melami Mysticism, which is the heterodox way of Sufism. Then he executed at 20 years old with his twelve disciples.

What were his teachings?
- "Eating, laying, sleeping are all acts of worship"
- "Adultery and liwat are the taste of love"
- "Hereafter affairs are not related to the sensual universe; Houris, heaven mansions, orchards are only in the land of dreams"
- "Wine is a cane of love, divine ecstasy, and halal to believers"
- "Fasting, zakat and pilgrimage are for the crimes of the people (so they are for asceticism)"
- "The saying, "There is no god to worship but God," there is no being in the universe but God."

Fraternally...

Sounds like a cool guy.

Indeed! Also, his teachings are very similar to Thelema :)

İsmail Maşuki'nin söyledikleri bugün kabala, tasavvuf, uzak doğu inanç sistemleriyle benzerlikler taşıyor. sadece çarpıcı şekilde ifade etmiş kendisini.
